A note from G

I attended a local housing resources fair and was reminded just how many programs exist to help people navigate housing challenges. Some can help with buying a home, while others can help people stay housed, make necessary repairs, find housing, or get through a housing emergency.

I put this page together as a starting point so you don't have to search for every resource yourself.

Eligibility, funding, income limits and program availability can change, so always confirm the current requirements directly with the organization providing the assistance.

Buying a Home

Down payment and closing cost help, homebuyer education, and programs for first-time and first-generation buyers. Assistance funds typically reopen each year and can run out quickly, so it helps to take a homebuyer class and talk with a lender early.
